Monday MOrning "MO"
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." (James 1:17)
I don’t believe blessings from God are handed out in relation to how much we do for Him; that all comes on the other side of eternity. Having said that, I do believe that many of the blessings that I enjoy today are a result of my obedience to call of Christ and my heart to serve Him in every way I can. In other words, while my faith has taught me that you can’t out give God, my experience has also pointed out to me that life since I became a Christian is less troublesome, more peaceful, and the blessings far more frequent (or maybe just more noticeable with my "new eyes") Understanding that every "good" thing in my life has come from God it takes away the pressure of performance. I can serve Him with a joyous heart with only expectation of goodness. Because He is the "Father of lights", I can now see through the darkness of trials into a bright future in Him. His plan is a future and a hope. Nothing less will do.
